Malcarne Contracting is growing and looking to add a dependable, skilled Carpenter to our team.
This position is ideal for someone with hands-on construction experience who takes pride in quality workmanship, problem-solving, and working as part of a professional crew. The Carpenter will assist with a variety of residential and light commercial construction projects, including repairs, renovations, framing, finish work, exterior work, and general contracting tasks.
Responsibilities
- Perform general carpentry work on residential and light commercial projects
- Assist with framing, trim, siding, windows, doors, decks, repairs, renovations, and remodeling projects
- Measure, cut, assemble, and install wood and other building materials
- Read basic plans, measurements, layouts, and project instructions
- Use hand tools, power tools, ladders, saws, nailers, and other construction equipment safely
- Assist with demolition, site prep, cleanup, and material handling
- Repair or replace damaged structural and finish components
- Work with crew leaders, project managers, and other trades to complete jobs efficiently
- Maintain clean, organized, and safe job sites
- Communicate professionally with coworkers, supervisors, and customers
- Follow company safety procedures and quality standards
- Perform other general construction duties as needed
Requirements
- Reliable Transportation
- 2+ years of expereance preffered
- Previous carpentry, remodeling, construction, or general contracting experience preferred
- Ability to use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively
- Basic knowledge of framing, trim, siding, decks, repairs, or remodeling work preferred
- Must be reliable, punctual, and able to work as part of a team
- Ability to lift, carry, climb, bend, kneel, and perform physically demanding work
- Strong attention to detail and pride in quality craftsmanship
- Ability to follow directions and complete tasks safely and efficiently
- Must be comfortable working indoors and outdoors in a variety of conditions
